Characterization of asphalt binders extracted from field mixtures containing RAP and/or RAS

چکیده
The use of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and/or recycled shingles (RAS) in the mixtures is a common practice U.S.A. However, there controversy to date on how RAP/RAS interact with virgin binders (VABs) mixtures. For containing RAP/RAS, aged RAP and air-blown RAS alter performances extracted (EABs). Thus, rheological properties EABs from these require more investigation. focus this paper was relating high-temperature field cores corresponding rolling thin film oven (RTFO AVABs). Furthermore, comparison effect another objective. Different were collected within two weeks after construction process 2016. These represented eight different binder replacement percentages by RAP, RAS, or both. considered as RTFO AVABs. included temperature sweep frequency testing multiple stress creep recovery testing. had higher stiffnesses elasticates than AVABs because RAP/RAS. interacted readily VABs binders.

Thermal and Fatigue Evaluation of Asphalt Mixtures Containing RAP Treated with a Bio-Agent
Environment conservation and diminishing natural resources caused an increase in popularity of the application of renewable bio-origin resources for the construction of road pavement. Currently, there are known additions of bio-origin materials for bitumen modification. Such material is also used as a flux additive for bitumen or as a rejuvenator once working with reclaimed asphalt pavement (RA...

This paper presents the effects of different amounts of reclaimed asphalt on fatigue life of asphalt mixtures. Central composite method was used to design of experiments based on response surface method (RSM). Binder type (Pen 60/70 and Pen 85/100), reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) content (25, 50 and 75%) and loading strain (150, 250 and 350 micro strain) were selected as independent variables...
